ANNUAL ELECTIONS
For information on the election of board members you should reference the CCR’s and Bylaws - Article 3, Sections 1-6.

PLEASE NOTE - The Bylaws state in Article 3.5(2) the board should serve on “staggered terms” for continuity of the board. (This was not done in the first election and needs to be rectified in this election.)

ELECTION PROCESS
The election will be held by paper ballot. One ballot per member household will be permitted. Official ballots will be mailed out to the homeowner’s address on record. The ballots will be used to vote and may be mailed, or hand delivered by the election deadline which will be the regularly scheduled member meeting September 15, at 6:30 PM held at 9001 Tall Oaks Drive, Guthrie, OK. PLEASE NOTE: if you owe dues or assessments you cannot vote in the election per governing documents section 5.7 (a) (ii)

Requirements

NOMINATION PROCESS

Any HOA member resident who is current on dues and assessments may be 
nominated to serve (Bylaws Article 3.6). PLEASE NOTE: if you owe dues or assessments you cannot be nominated for an election per governing documents section 5.7 (a) (ii)
You may nominate yourself or others. You may make multiple nominations.

We encourage you to nominate a member of the community who…
  • Is willing to serve
  • Is in good standing (current on dues and assessments)
  • Has good moral character
  • Has the time and skills to serve as a board member

Responsibilities

Here is a brief description of the four Board roles & 2025 SERVICE TERMS:

President - TERM - 2 YEARS
The president shall preside at all meetings and act as the chief executive officer of the Association.

Vice President - TERM - 1 YEAR
In the absence or disability of the president shall perform the duties of the president.

Secretary - TERM - 2 YEARS
The secretary shall record a Book of Minutes taken at all meetings.

Treasurer - TERM - 1 YEAR
The treasurer shall be the chief financial officer of the association and shall keep and maintain adequate and correct business transactions of the association.
